People behind CommsKit

Brand-led communications experts

CommsKit is built and led by practitioners who have spent years working inside complex, operational organisations – not just advising from the outside.

The platform is the evolution of Halo Media, an established advertising and design agency, into a focused internal communications company. That heritage matters. It means CommsKit combines strong creative discipline with deep, practical experience in communicating with large, distributed and frontline-heavy workforces.

Today, CommsKit is expert-led, systemised and purpose-built for organisations where clarity, consistency and reach are non-negotiable.

Hayes Cunningham Co‑founder | Director

Creative Director & Brand Strategist

Hayes is a senior brand strategist and creative director with deep experience advising large, distributed organisations, particularly in mining and asset-heavy industries operating in remote locations.

His work ranges from establishing and governing corporate brand systems for global teams in London, to implementing those systems on the ground at large-scale operations – like iron ore in Guinea. He is frequently engaged for strategic consulting, bringing clarity and analytical rigour to complex brand and communication challenges.

At CommsKit, Hayes leads brand architecture, creative standards and system design, ensuring brand intent translates into practical, consistent communication across sites, teams and channels.

How delivery works

Clients do not rely on a single individual. Each CommsKit client is supported by a dedicated delivery pod.

Pods bring together strategy, content, design and delivery oversight, ensuring continuity, shared context and quality control across all outputs. This model reduces dependency on individuals and supports consistent communication even as teams, sites or priorities change.

AI as part of the team

CommsKit combines human expertise with trained, client‑specific AI assistants.

These AI tools are configured and governed by the CommsKit team to support planning, drafting, consistency and speed – not to replace human judgement. They extend the pod model, helping clients maintain momentum while ensuring outputs remain aligned to brand, policy and audience needs.

CommsKit is designed to scale beyond individuals. Leadership accountability, structured delivery teams and governed AI tools ensure clients receive reliable, consistent internal communications – month after month.
